Bacon-Wrapped Loaded Hot Dogs

Hot dog buns filled with Swiss cheese, mustard, ketchup, pickles, and crispy fried onions, then fully wrapped in bacon and baked until the bacon is crisp and the cheese melts into a perfect stretch.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 | | hot dogs |
  • 8 | | hot dog buns |
  • 16 | slices | bacon |
  • 8 | slices | Swiss cheese |
  • 2 | tbsp | mustard |
  • 2 | tbsp | ketchup |
  • 16 | slices | pickle |
  • 0.5 | cup | crispy fried onions |

Instructions
 

  • Lay two overlapping bacon slices on a board for each dog.
  • Place an open hot dog bun on top of the bacon.
  • Add Swiss cheese slices inside the bun.
  • Squeeze mustard and ketchup over the cheese.
  • Place a hot dog in the center and add pickle slices and fried onions.
  • Fold the bacon up and over to fully wrap the loaded bun.
  • Arrange seam-side down in a parchment-lined baking dish.
  • Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until bacon is crisp and cheese is melted.

Notes

Best served immediately while cheese is stretchy.
Assemble ahead and refrigerate; bake just before serving.
Turkey bacon can be used for a lighter version.
Secure loose bacon ends with a toothpick if needed.
