Ingredients
  

  • 12 | slices | salami |
  • 8 | slices | ham or mortadella |
  • 1 | head | butter lettuce |
  • 1 | | cucumber | sliced
  • 2 | | tomatoes | cut into wedges
  • 0.5 | cup | green olives |
  • | | fresh parsley sprigs | for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Arrange lettuce leaves on a round serving plate as a base.
  • Place cucumber slices in a curved line along one side.
  • Add tomato wedges opposite the cucumber.
  • Fan salami slices around the outer edge of the plate.
  • Layer ham or mortadella over an inverted wine glass to form a rose.
  • Carefully remove the glass and adjust the rose shape.
  • Place the meat rose in the center of the platter.
  • Scatter green olives around the rose and add parsley sprigs.

Notes

Assemble just before serving for the freshest appearance.
Form the meat rose up to 2 hours ahead and refrigerate.
Store leftover components separately in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Thinly sliced meat works best for shaping the rose.
