Ingredients
  

  • 20 | | garlic cloves | peeled
  • 3 | tbsp | olive oil |
  • 1/2 | cup | butter | softened
  • 1/2 | tsp | red pepper flakes |
  • 1/2 | tsp | salt |
  • 1/4 | tsp | black pepper |
  • 1/4 | cup | fresh parsley | chopped
  • 3 | | flatbread dough pieces | oval-shaped
  • 2 | cups | shredded mozzarella |

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add garlic cloves and fry until golden, stirring often.
  • Transfer garlic to a bowl and add butter.
  • Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  • Stir in chopped parsley.
  • Mash everything into a coarse paste.
  • Spread the paste evenly over the flatbread dough pieces.
  • Top generously with shredded mozzarella.
  • Bake until cheese is bubbly and edges are golden.
  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days.
Reheat in a 350°F oven for best texture.
Softened butter mashes more easily with the garlic.
Use parchment paper to prevent sticking during baking.
