Ingredients
  

  • 1 | lb | chicken breast |
  • 1 | cup | orzo pasta |
  • 2 | tbsp | olive oil |
  • 1 | tsp | salt |
  • 1 | tsp | black pepper |
  • 1 | tsp | onion powder |
  • 1 | tsp | garlic powder |
  • 2 | cups | chicken broth |
  • 1/2 | cup | heavy cream |
  • 1/2 | cup | grated Parmesan |
  • 2 | tbsp | fresh parsley | chopped
  • 1 | tbsp | butter |

Instructions
 

  • Mix olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder on a plate.
  • Coat chicken thoroughly in the seasoning mixture.
  • Sear chicken in a hot skillet 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through.
  • Rest chicken 5 minutes, then slice.
  • Toast orzo in butter in the same skillet for 1–2 minutes.
  • Add chicken broth and simmer 8–10 minutes, stirring often, until orzo is tender.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan until sauce is smooth and creamy.
  • Top with sliced chicken and chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Reheat gently with a splash of broth or cream to loosen the sauce.
Chicken thighs can replace breast for extra juiciness.
Toast the orzo for better texture and flavor.
