Ingredients
  

  • 8 | | hot dogs |
  • 1 | sheet | puff pastry | thawed
  • | | oil | for deep frying

Instructions
 

  • Thaw the puff pastry and cut into 1-inch wide strips.
  • Wrap each hot dog tightly in a dough strip and seal the seam.
  • Trim any excess dough from the ends if needed.
  • Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pot to 350°F.
  • Carefully lower several wrapped sausages into the hot oil.
  • Fry 3-4 minutes, turning once, until deeply golden and puffed.
  • Lift out with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  • Repeat with remaining sausages and serve immediately while hot.
  • Tip: Do not overcrowd the pot so the oil temperature stays steady.

Seal the dough seams well to prevent opening during frying.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Reheat in an air fryer or oven to restore crispness.
Crescent dough can replace puff pastry if preferred.
