Ingredients
  

  • 8 | slices | white bread |
  • 1 | large | red onion | thinly sliced
  • 2 | | green chilies | chopped
  • ½ | cup | mayonnaise |
  • ½ | cup | shredded mozzarella |
  • ½ | tsp | salt |
  • ¼ | tsp | black pepper |
  • 1 | | oil | for deep frying
  • | | ketchup | for serving

Instructions
 

  • Thinly slice the red onion and chop the green chilies.
  • In a bowl mix mayonnaise, mozzarella, salt, pepper, onion, and chilies until combined.
  • Cut each bread slice into two triangles and gently flatten.
  • Spread the onion-cheese mixture evenly on one side of each triangle.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat until hot.
  • Fry triangles in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until deep golden.
  • Remove with tongs and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve hot with ketchup.
  • Tip: Keep oil at medium heat so the bread crisps without burning.
  • Tip: Serve immediately for the best crunch and cheese stretch.
