Tender pork ribs coated in a sticky garlic-ketchup glaze and cooked with soft onion slices in a foil packet. Juicy, flavorful, and ready without a smoker.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 | lb | pork ribs |
  • 1 | tsp | salt |
  • ½ | tsp | black pepper |
  • 4 | cloves | garlic | minced
  • 2 | tbsp | oil |
  • ½ | cup | ketchup |
  • 2 | tbsp | butter |
  • 1 | | red onion | sliced

Instructions
 

  • Season the ribs with salt and pepper.
  • Sear the ribs in oil until golden on both sides.
  • Cook minced garlic in the same pan until fragrant.
  • Stir in ketchup and butter to make the glaze.
  • Arrange onion slices on foil and place ribs on top.
  • Spoon the sauce over the ribs and seal the foil tightly.
  • Cook until the meat is tender and pulls from the bone.
  • Open the packet, baste again, and serve hot.

Notes

Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat gently covered so the glaze stays moist.
Baby back or spare ribs both work well.
Add a splash of vinegar for extra tang if desired.
