- 1.5 | lb | beef | cut into cubes
- 1 | | onion | chopped
- 3 | cloves | garlic | minced
- 2 | tbsp | oil |
- 1 | tsp | salt |
- ½ | tsp | black pepper |
- 2 | tbsp | mustard |
- 2 | tbsp | ketchup |
- 1 | cup | heavy cream |
- 2 | tbsp | chopped parsley |
Cut the beef into even bite-sized cubes.
Heat oil and cook onion and garlic until soft.
Add beef cubes and sear on all sides until browned.
Season with salt and pepper.
Stir in mustard and ketchup until combined.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir until smooth.
Simmer until the beef is tender and the sauce thickens.
Stir in parsley and serve over mashed potatoes.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheat gently on the stove with a splash of cream.
Sirloin or stewing beef both work well.
Serve over noodles or rice if preferred.
