Equipment

  • 1 | Wire watermelon slicer | clear plastic handle with metal wire loop
  • 1 | Cutting board | stable and large enough for half melon
  • 1 | Paper towel | for drying the cut surface

Ingredients

  • 1 | | half watermelon | seedless preferred ripe and firm
  • 1 | | wire watermelon slicer tool |

Instructions

  • Place the watermelon half cut-side up on a stable cutting board and pat dry.
  • Hold the wire slicer by the handle and position the loop against the top edge of the flesh.
  • Press the wire straight down through the melon in one smooth motion.
  • Reposition the tool about one inch away and repeat to create parallel cuts.
  • Continue across the entire half until evenly spaced slices are formed.
  • Gently separate the slices along the cut lines with your hands.
  • Transfer the sliced half to a serving platter and arrange attractively.
  • Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

Notes

Store covered in the refrigerator and use within 2–3 days for best texture.
Seedless watermelon yields the cleanest slices with no extra seed removal.
Hand-wash the wire tool to keep the metal loop straight and effective.
For thicker wedges, simply space the cuts farther apart.
