Overripe bananas smashed flat, topped with peanut butter, frozen solid, then covered in melted dark chocolate and salted peanuts for a simple 4-ingredient freezer treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 | | overripe bananas |
  • ½ | cup | creamy peanut butter |
  • 1 | cup | dark chocolate | chips or chopped
  • | cup | salted peanuts |

Instructions
 

  • Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • Peel and place bananas on the parchment.
  • Press a second sheet pan on top to flatten the bananas.
  • Spread peanut butter evenly over the smashed bananas.
  • Freeze until the layer is solid, about 1 hour.
  • Melt the dark chocolate until smooth.
  • Spread melted chocolate over the frozen peanut butter and sprinkle with salted peanuts.
  • Freeze until firm, then cut into bite-sized pieces.

Notes

Store pieces in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 weeks.
Use very ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor and easiest smashing.
Work quickly when spreading the chocolate so it sets smoothly.
Natural or regular peanut butter both work well.
