Mix flour, warm milk, sugar, yeast, salt, and butter into a soft dough.
Knead 5–6 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Let dough rise 1 hour until doubled.
Divide into 8 pieces and roll each into an oval.
Top each piece with ham and cheese.
Roll or fold the dough around the filling and seal the edges.
Place seam-side down on a baking sheet, brush with milk, and sprinkle herbs.
Bake at 375°F for 18–22 minutes until golden. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Store cooled rolls in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven until the cheese melts again. Dough can be prepared the night before and refrigerated. Seal edges well to keep the filling inside during baking
