Ingredients
  

  • 3 | cups | all-purpose flour |
  • 1 | cup | warm milk |
  • 2 | tbsp | sugar |
  • 2 | tsp | instant yeast |
  • 1 | tsp | salt |
  • 3 | tbsp | butter | softened
  • 8 | slices | ham |
  • 8 | slices | cheese |
  • 1 | tbsp | milk | for brushing
  • 1 | tsp | dried herbs | for topping

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, warm milk, sugar, yeast, salt, and butter into a soft dough.
  • Knead 5–6 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Let dough rise 1 hour until doubled.
  • Divide into 8 pieces and roll each into an oval.
  • Top each piece with ham and cheese.
  • Roll or fold the dough around the filling and seal the edges.
  • Place seam-side down on a baking sheet, brush with milk, and sprinkle herbs.
  • Bake at 375°F for 18–22 minutes until golden. Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store cooled rolls in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a 350°F oven until the cheese melts again.
Dough can be prepared the night before and refrigerated.
Seal edges well to keep the filling inside during baking
