Ingredients
  

  • 4 | | pork steaks |
  • 2 | large | onions | sliced
  • 3 | tbsp | butter |
  • 3 | cloves | garlic | minced
  • 3 | tbsp | honey |
  • 2 | tbsp | Dijon mustard |
  • 1 | tsp | salt |
  • ½ | tsp | black pepper |

Instructions
 

  • Slice onions and toss with a little honey-mustard mixture.
  • Season pork steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Sear steaks in butter until golden on both sides.
  • Add garlic and baste with melting butter.
  • Transfer steaks to a baking dish over the onions.
  • Pour remaining honey-mustard sauce over the meat.
  • Cover tightly with foil and bake until cooked through.
  • Rest briefly, then spoon onion sauce over each serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheat gently in a covered skillet with a splash of water.
Maple syrup can replace honey if preferred.
Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
