Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
Place one milk bread slice in the pan and toast until lightly golden.
Flip the bread and toast the second side briefly.
Pour the milk evenly over the bread and let it soak.
Beat the egg with salt and spoon it over the soaked bread.
