  • 500 | g | boneless chicken | cubed
  • 1 | tsp | chilli powder |
  • 0.5 | tsp | black pepper |
  • 1 | tbsp | ginger garlic paste |
  • 1 | tbsp | lime juice |
  • 0.5 | tsp | salt |
  • 0.5 | cup | cornstarch |
  • 1 | | oil | for deep frying
  • 1 | tbsp | butter |
  • 2 | tbsp | soya sauce |
  • 2 | tbsp | green chilli sauce |
  • 1 | tbsp | honey |
  • 1 | tsp | sesame seeds | for garnish

Ingredients
  

  • 500 | g | boneless chicken | cubed
  • 1 | tsp | chilli powder |
  • 0.5 | tsp | black pepper |
  • 1 | tbsp | ginger garlic paste |
  • 1 | tbsp | lime juice |
  • 0.5 | tsp | salt |
  • 0.5 | cup | cornstarch |
  • 1 | | oil | for deep frying
  • 1 | tbsp | butter |
  • 2 | tbsp | soya sauce |
  • 2 | tbsp | green chilli sauce |
  • 1 | tbsp | honey |
  • 1 | tsp | sesame seeds | for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pat chicken cubes dry and place in a mixing bowl.
  • Add chilli powder, black pepper, salt, ginger garlic paste and lime juice. Mix well.
  • Rest the marinated chicken for 5 minutes.
  • Coat the pieces evenly in cornstarch.
  • Heat oil and deep-fry the chicken in batches until golden and crisp. Drain.
  • In a clean pan melt butter, then add soya sauce, green chilli sauce and honey. Simmer 1 minute.
  • Add the fried chicken and toss quickly to coat.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and serve hot.
  • Tip: Keep the oil at medium-high so the coating stays crisp and not greasy.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Reheat in a hot pan rather than the microwave to restore some crispness.
Double the green chilli sauce if you prefer extra heat.
