Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 | | beef patty | about 6 oz
  • 1/2 | tsp | black pepper |
  • 1 | tsp | orange seasoning powder | or paprika mix
  • 1 | | large egg |
  • 1 | slice | ham |
  • 1 | slice | cheese | melting variety
  • 1 | | burger bun |

Instructions
 

  • Heat a skillet over medium flame and place the beef patty in the pan.
  • Sprinkle black pepper evenly over the patty.
  • Pour orange seasoning powder across the surface.
  • Crack the egg carefully onto the center of the patty.
  • Cover with a lid and cook 2 minutes until egg white sets.
  • Lift lid, add ham slice, then cheese slice on top.
  • Place the top bun over the cheese and cover again for 1 minute.
  • Transfer the finished burger to a plate and serve immediately.

Notes

Best eaten fresh while the cheese is still melted.
Store leftovers in the fridge up to 1 day and reheat gently in a covered pan.
Turkey ham or any melting cheese can be swapped without changing cook time.
