A fully loaded Brazilian-style hot sandwich with crispy bacon, a soft egg, ham, melted cheese, and fresh lettuce tucked inside a golden toasted bun. Quick, comforting, and made in one special pan.

Equipment

  • 1 | Sandwich press or double pan |
  • 1 | Pastry brush | for butter
  • 1 | Spatula |

Ingredients
  

  • 1 | | soft bread roll |
  • 1 | strip | bacon |
  • 1 | | large egg |
  • 1 | slice | ham |
  • 1 | slice | yellow cheese |
  • 1 | leaf | lettuce |
  • 1 | tbsp | butter | for brushing

Instructions
 

  • Heat the sandwich press over medium heat and brush the bottom with butter.
  • Add the bacon strip and cook until it begins to crisp.
  • Crack the egg over the bacon and let the white start to set.
  • Close the pan for about 1 minute.
  • Open, add the ham slice, and close briefly to warm.
  • Split and butter the bread roll.
  • Open the pan, add the cheese slice and lettuce leaf.
  • Place the bottom bun under the filling, cover with the top bun, close the pan, and toast until golden.
  • Open carefully and serve immediately.

Notes

Best eaten fresh while the cheese is still melted.
Leftovers can be reheated in a dry skillet for a few minutes.
Use any soft roll or bun you prefer.
Adjust fillings to taste without changing the method.
