Ingredients
  

  • 1 | sheet | puff pastry | thawed
  • 1 | can 5 oz | tuna | drained
  • 4 | oz | cream cheese | cubed
  • 1 | cup | shredded mozzarella |
  • 1 | | egg | beaten
  • 1 | tbsp | mixed sesame seeds | black and white
  • 1 | pinch | salt | to taste
  • 1 | pinch | black pepper | to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Unroll thawed puff pastry and cut into four equal wedges.
  • Mash drained tuna with cubed cream cheese until creamy; season with salt and pepper.
  • Stir in half the shredded mozzarella.
  • Spoon filling onto the wide end of each wedge and top with remaining cheese.
  • Fold pastry over filling to form triangles and seal edges firmly with a fork.
  • Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake 18–22 minutes until puffed and deep golden. Cool slightly before serving.
  • Tip: Keep pastry cold until ready to bake for maximum flakiness.
  • Tip: Drain tuna very well to avoid a soggy bottom.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days.
Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5–7 minutes to restore crispness.
Assemble ahead and refrigerate unbaked for up to 24 hours.
Freeze unbaked turnovers and bake from frozen, adding 5 extra minutes.
