Ingredients
  

  • 12 | | garlic cloves | peeled
  • 3 | tbsp | olive oil |
  • 4 | tbsp | unsalted butter | softened
  • 1 | tsp | red pepper flakes |
  • 2 | tbsp | fresh parsley | chopped
  • 1 | lb | pizza dough |
  • 1.5 | cups | shredded mozzarella |
  • 1 | | salt | to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place peeled garlic cloves in a cold skillet and cover with olive oil.
  • Cook over medium-low heat, turning occasionally, until golden and soft, about 12 minutes.
  • Transfer garlic and some oil to a bowl; add butter, red pepper flakes, and parsley.
  • Mash with a fork until a spreadable paste forms.
  • Divide dough into three pieces and roll into ovals.
  • Spread garlic butter evenly over each oval.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella.
  • Bake at 450°F for 12–14 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Rest one minute, slice, and serve while the cheese is stretchy.

Notes

Store leftovers wrapped in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes to restore crispness.
Garlic butter can be made 2 days ahead and refrigerated.
Use any melting cheese if mozzarella is unavailable.
