- 1 | large | green cabbage | cut into wedges
- 8 | slices | bacon | chopped
- 1 | cup | chicken broth |

- 1 | tsp | salt |
- 0.5 | tsp | black pepper |
- 0.5 | tsp | smoked paprika | optional
Cut cabbage into large wedges, keeping the core intact.
Cook chopped bacon until crisp; set aside.
Place sliced onion and garlic in the slow cooker.
Arrange cabbage wedges on top of the aromatics.
Season with salt, pepper, and paprika; add broth.
Scatter cooked bacon over the cabbage.
Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours or high 3-4 hours.
Spoon into bowls with some of the cooking liquid and serve.
Keep the core intact so wedges hold shape. Cook until cabbage is fully soft and falling apart. Reserve some bacon to sprinkle on at the end for crunch. Leftovers reheat well and taste even better the next day.
